What was the vision in establishing Sence1 Inc.? What is the company aiming to solve? 

As a company, we recognize that many individuals face barriers that prevent them from accessing opportunities—whether due to societal, educational, or economic challenges. For example, as a Japanese woman, it was challenging for people of my generation to succeed in Japan during a period of economic stagnation. Where I am right now is a testament to how many barriers I broke just to get here. Our mission is to bridge these gaps by not only providing these individuals with meaningful work but also ensuring they feel valued, supported, and confident in their roles.

We believe that an environment fostering joy and confidence is a key to fostering innovation and boosting productivity. This involves creating a culture where employees are encouraged to learn, share ideas, and grow, both professionally and personally. By equipping our team members with the right resources, training, and support, we aim to empower them to excel and, in turn, make a meaningful impact on the company and society through their work.

How does Sence1 differentiate itself from other IT and web development companies in the Philippines?

We originally started as a subsidiary of a Japanese company. Then our former parent company specialized in website development and marketing solutions for clients in Japan. This background provided our team with extensive experience in delivering software development projects that meet high standards of quality, especially in Japan where they are very precise on developing cutting-edge technology required by major Japanese corporations. Additionally, several members of our team hold HubSpot and Google Analytics licenses. 

Our strength lies in being a highly skilled team capable of delivering precise and high-quality solutions, leveraging our extensive experience with Japanese corporate projects. This means that we are more than just technical experts; we understand the meticulous standards and structured processes that define Japanese business practices. Our team has honed the ability to manage projects with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring that the solutions we deliver are not only functional but also align with the cultural and operational expectations of our clients.

Our work on platforms like Scholaris and Upria reflects our commitment to creating targeted, innovative solutions for specific sectors. Scholaris is a scholarship matching platform that bridges the gap between students seeking financial assistance and organizations offering scholarships. It simplifies the search and application process, providing students and scholarship organizations with a seamless way to connect. Upria, on the other hand, is a real estate search platform designed to bring transparency to property listings and streamline the buying, selling, and renting process. It leverages cutting-edge technology to address common challenges such as outdated or inaccurate property information, ensuring transparency and efficiency in the real estate market.

Beyond these platforms, our portfolio includes projects for major Japanese corporations, where we've developed custom solutions designed to meet their rigorous quality standards and support their operational efficiency, and NGOs, where our technology supports diverse social initiatives, such as enhancing operational efficiency or increasing outreach capabilities. What is the long-term vision for Sence1 Inc., and how do you plan to achieve it?

As a company based in the Philippines, our goal is to establish Sence1 Inc. as a reliable and innovative technology partner not only locally but across the entire ASEAN region. We want Sence1 Inc. to be recognized for driving business growth and delivering solutions with significant social impacts. 

To achieve this, we continuously adapt to changing circumstances and challenges, ensuring that our solutions remain relevant and effective. Additionally, we focus on building strong, strategic partnerships with organizations that share our vision for digital transformation, enabling us to deliver more comprehensive and impactful solutions. A key part of our mission is also nurturing talent within our team—providing regular training programs, encouraging cross-team collaboration, and developing leadership and problem-solving skills to ensure holistic growth by equipping our engineers with both technical expertise and leadership skills to tackle complex challenges.
