SeeYouDoc: Healing Healthcare Through Digital Innovation
Noel Del Castillo
SeeYouDoc is a Philippine-based digital healthcare platform that makes medical services more accessible for patients while helping healthcare providers deliver care more efficiently. Through its mobile app and website, patients can search for doctors, book online or in-person consultations, access prescriptions, and connect with hospitals and local government healthcare programs. For providers, SeeYouDoc offers tools for managing appointments, telemedicine, referrals, triaging, payments, and analytics, with customized solutions for clinics, hospitals, and LGUs. By bridging patients, doctors, institutions, and government, SeeYouDoc is building a seamless ecosystem that makes healthcare more affordable, efficient, and convenient. With that, let’s dive deeper into its mission and innovation with its CEO and Founder, Noel Del Castillo.
Can you tell us the story behind SeeYouDoc and what inspired you to create it?
SeeYouDoc began as a research and development project under my software company, Pragtechnologies (Pragtech), but the inspiration came from a very personal experience. As a father, I often found myself spending hours waiting in clinics just to bring my children to their regular pediatric checkups, and I realized how inefficient and inconvenient the process was for many families like mine. At the same time, our team at Pragtech had been building healthcare applications for Silicon Valley startups, which made me more aware of the gaps and opportunities in the Philippine healthcare system. In 2017, I saw the chance to address this problem and began building what would eventually become SeeYouDoc. We launched the platform with the support of the Marikina Valley Medical Association, which helped validate our concept and guided us in complying with medical regulations. When we began gaining paying customers, I decided to spin it off into a separate company so we could bring doctors in as shareholders and truly build a platform designed with and for the medical community. By 2018, SeeYouDoc was officially born, driven by the mission to make healthcare access simpler, faster, and more patient-centered.
How does SeeYouDoc make healthcare more accessible for patients and more efficient for healthcare providers?
Before SeeYouDoc, patients had very few options when it came to accessing healthcare. Pre-pandemic, the only way to see a doctor was to physically go to the hospital, wait in line, and hope to be accommodated, since appointment systems were rare and telemedicine was not widely accepted. We started by building a simple appointment system to make it easier for patients and doctors to connect. Over time, this evolved into a mobile app and website where patients can search for doctors, book consultations, and choose between online or face-to-face appointments. During the pandemic, we expanded this system to include public hospitals and LGUs, such as Amang Rodriguez and the Philippine Orthopedic Center, giving patients a more convenient way to access healthcare while ensuring services remained affordable or even free for those who needed them most.
On the provider side, SeeYouDoc not only helps doctors manage their private practices but also opens doors for them to participate in government healthcare programs. For example, in Marikina, the local government allocated a budget to pay doctors per consult, allowing patients to receive care at no cost while doctors are fairly compensated. This dual approach empowers physicians to expand their reach, balance private and public practice, and establish long-term patient relationships. Ultimately, we are making healthcare more accessible for patients by removing barriers of distance, cost, and time, while giving providers the tools to manage their practices efficiently and connect with more patients both locally and internationally.
How does SeeYouDoc support medical institutions like clinics and hospitals beyond just telemedicine?
At SeeYouDoc, our mission goes beyond telemedicine because healthcare is much broader than online consultations alone. We provide medical institutions like hospitals and clinics with tools to publish and customize all types of services, whether appointments, diagnostics, or laboratory requests, and give them the ability to manage departments, clinics, and staff seamlessly through one integrated platform. Hospitals can even have their own customized website or mobile app, allowing patients to scan a QR code, book appointments, and access services ranging from consultations to lab tests. Our system also supports triaging, referrals, and appointment scheduling, creating a funnel that makes patient care more efficient and revenue generation more transparent. Patients can pay through credit card, e-wallets, or HMOs directly on the platform, while hospitals benefit from real-time analytics dashboards that monitor performance, patient feedback, and overall service delivery.
We also extend our services to local government units, such as our work with the Province of Laguna where we developed the GobSol mobile app. This app, powered by SeeYouDoc, connects LGUs to a centralized healthcare network that allows barangay health centers and clinics to be fully integrated into one system. With this structure, LGUs can optimize resources, monitor triaging and referrals from a central command center, and ensure healthcare services reach communities more efficiently. Looking forward, we are also developing AI-assisted triaging and referral features to help hospitals and LGUs address gaps in manpower and streamline their operations further. Ultimately, our goal is to empower healthcare providers to be more creative, efficient, and resourceful in delivering services, while giving patients easier access to quality care.
Can you share any success stories or feedback from patients and doctors who have used your platform?
At SeeYouDoc, we’ve seen how our platform has created a meaningful impact for both patients and healthcare providers. During the pandemic, for example, we were able to help a mother secure care for her sick child by quickly connecting her with a pulmonologist through our platform, proving how technology can truly save lives. More recently, we partnered with the provincial government of Laguna to launch the GovSol app, a first-of-its-kind mobile application that allows residents to consult doctors online, access prescriptions, and even request free medicines for delivery—an achievement made possible by the political will of leaders like Governor Sol Aragones and her team. In just a few months, the app has powered over 2,000 consultations in a single barangay, showing its potential to transform healthcare access across the province. On an international level, our work has also been recognized at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, where SeeYouDoc won a gold medal in the online category, validating that Filipino-built healthcare technology can stand alongside the best in the world. These stories inspire us to keep building and scaling solutions that make healthcare more accessible, efficient, and impactful for communities everywhere.
