Nimble: Building Technology Inside the Realities of Business
Carlos Herrera
Nimble is a regional technology company founded in 2014 with offices across Thailand, Hong Kong, and Vietnam, specializing in software consulting, product development, and digital transformation for mid market and enterprise businesses. The company works closely with organizations across industries including retail, energy, hospitality, and F&B, building customized software and hardware solutions designed around real operational needs rather than one size fits all systems. Known for its “Forward Deployed Engineers” approach, Nimble embeds senior technologists directly within client organizations to bridge the gap between strategy and execution, helping companies solve complex business challenges through technology, AI driven systems, and long term partnership. With that, let’s dive deeper into its mission and innovation with its Founder and CEO, Carlos Herrera.

The Engineers Who Chose to Stay Inside the Problem
Most technology firms talk about transformation from a safe distance. A strategy deck is presented, recommendations are made, and somewhere between planning and execution, the real complexity of the business gets lost. Nimble was built in opposition to that idea. Since its founding in 2014, the regional technology company has believed that meaningful transformation only happens when the people building the solution are close enough to experience the pressure, friction, and operational realities of the business itself. That belief shaped the company’s approach across Thailand, Hong Kong, and Vietnam, where Nimble has spent the last decade working with enterprises such as Central Group, C.P. Group, PTT, and Jollibee Foods Corporation, not simply as consultants, but as long term partners invested in outcomes.
Building Technology Around Reality
What makes Nimble different is not only its technical capability, but the way it embeds itself into the businesses it works with. Through what the company calls Forward Deployed Engineers, senior technologists work directly inside client organizations, gaining firsthand understanding of commercial pressures, internal systems, and the “problem behind the problem” before building solutions. In industries where businesses have long been forced to adapt around rigid software systems that never fully matched how they actually operated, Nimble saw an opportunity to reverse the equation. Instead of asking companies to compromise around technology, the company builds technology around the realities of the business itself. AI became a natural extension of that philosophy, integrated deeply into how Nimble designs systems, uncovers insights, and accelerates execution rather than being treated as a late stage addition or trend.
The Partnership That Redefined Expansion
That mindset also shaped one of the company’s most important milestones: its first ever strategic investment in Thailand based CRM and loyalty company Relationship Republic. After years of solving enterprise problems, Nimble recognized that the greatest impact happens when technical execution meets genuine industry trust and relationships. Relationship Republic had already earned deep credibility with some of Thailand’s most important consumer brands, while Nimble brought engineering depth and the ability to operationalize strategy at scale. Together, the partnership reflects Nimble’s broader vision of building services and ecosystems that create long term value rather than isolated solutions, particularly as AI reshapes how enterprises engage customers and activate data.
What It Looks Like at Scale
Few partnerships illustrate Nimble’s philosophy more clearly than its ongoing work with Jollibee Foods Corporation. Supporting a company operating 19 brands and more than 10,000 outlets across 25 markets requires more than strong engineering. It requires understanding how different markets behave, how operations evolve across regions, and how customer expectations shift at scale. Nimble approached the partnership not as a short term technology engagement, but as a continuous collaboration where systems evolve alongside the business itself. That long term investment helped power the number one branded owned channels in the market and reinforced the company’s belief that the best technology solutions are built through deep operational partnership rather than transactional delivery.
A Southeast Asian Company Thinking Globally
Looking ahead, Nimble sees itself becoming an increasingly global company while remaining grounded in the principles that built it. Although Southeast Asia remains home, the company is already delivering projects across the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, with plans to expand its physical presence wherever its clients need support. Yet growth, for Nimble, has never been about vanity metrics or scale for the sake of visibility. The company remains focused on solving meaningful problems, building trusted partnerships, and expanding its capabilities in ways that strengthen outcomes for clients. The recent investment in Relationship Republic is only the beginning of that direction. More strategic expansions are already underway, all driven by the same belief that has guided Nimble from the start: transformation only matters when it works in the real world.
