KMC Solutions: Building the Future of Work, One Scalable Team at a Time
Michael McCullough
KMC Solutions is a leading provider of flexible workspaces and offshore staffing services in the Philippines. Founded by Michael McCullough, KMC supports startups, SMEs, and multinationals with premium office spaces, staff leasing, and business support across 30+ locations in major business districts. Known for its enterprise-grade service and tech-enabled environments, KMC helps companies scale quickly and efficiently while tapping into the country’s world-class talent pool. With that, let’s dive deeper into its mission and innovation with its Co-Founder, Michael McCullough.
What inspired you to start KMC Solutions, and what gap were you aiming to fill in the Philippine business landscape?
When we started KMC Solutions, the inspiration came from listening closely to our clients who kept asking for a more complete, flexible, and tech-enabled workspace solution that didn’t exist in the local market at the time. Around the fifth client who said, “We wish something like this existed,” we recognized a clear pattern and a gap we could fill. They wanted something plug-and-play, affordable, 24/7 operational, visually appealing, and scalable—and that’s exactly what we set out to build. About 15 years ago, the Philippine business landscape lacked this kind of modern, integrated solution, so we created KMC to be the responsive, innovative partner that could evolve with the future of work.

How does KMC Teams differentiate itself from other offshore staffing solutions?
KMC Teams differentiates itself by taking a more premium and enterprise-focused approach to offshore staffing. Many of the enterprise clients drawn to our flexible workspace solutions were also looking for a higher-end staffing partner—one that could deliver not just talent, but also reliability, structure, and performance. These clients wanted more than just a seat and a body; they needed a partner who could deliver quality and accountability at scale.
That’s where KMC Teams come in. We position ourselves as a premium provider in the offshore staffing space, offering a more hands-on experience backed by strong account management. Our team is deeply involved in managing client relationships and delivering measurable outcomes through strict KPIs and service-level agreements. That level of operational rigor and personalized service is what truly sets us apart in the market.
What was one of the most difficult challenges you faced as a Co-Founder, and how did you overcome it?
Like any Co-Founder, I’ve faced my share of challenges—everything from growing pains like switching accounting systems to losing major clients that forced us to recalibrate. One of the most defining moments, though, was during the pandemic in 2020. COVID hit our real estate business hard, which was tough to navigate. But at the same time, it acted like rocket fuel for our offshore staffing division, as companies worldwide suddenly needed global teams and remote talent. So in a way, the crisis became a catalyst for a different kind of growth.
Even today, the world remains unpredictable—tariffs, conflicts, and economic uncertainty continue to impact business environments. The challenge now is finding our next big wave of momentum and identifying what the future of growth looks like. But if there’s anything we’ve learned, it’s that resilience and the ability to adapt quickly are key to staying ahead.

How do you see the startup ecosystem in the Philippines evolving, and what role do you think KMC plays in that?
KMC has always seen itself as a kind of accelerator—an enabler that gives back to the startup community in the Philippines. While our core revenue comes from serving multinational clients, we’ve made it a point to support local startups by donating time, space, and services whenever possible. Over the years, we’ve also personally invested in funds backing early-stage companies, not just to give back, but also to stay close to the innovation that’s happening locally. We’re early adopters by nature and often become the first client for many startups. In doing so, we help them build credibility while keeping an eye out for potential synergies with our own business.
How did you envision the future of work when you founded KMC—and how has that vision evolved today?
When we founded KMC 15 years ago, the workplace looked very different—think outdated cubicles, slow internet, and everything strictly on-site. Fast forward to today, and work can happen from virtually anywhere, even from the palm of our hands. What’s even more exciting is the evolution of the talent landscape in the Philippines. We now have a world-class workforce, and we’ve seen some of the brightest Filipino professionals return home to start companies. The future of work is truly borderless, and our hope is that much of it continues to thrive right here in the Philippines with its incredibly talented people.
